C# .. cool and you dont find it beautiful ???

I am yearning for getting back to coding now ... have been into managerial role for quite sometime now ... and hardly get involved in coding and stuff ... am more into managerial and analyst kinda role ...

I am a C/Unix person and there were times when I used to get blissfull satisfaction by writing complex system level codes ..... aaah damn you are making me nostalgic .... nothing wud give me a high as big as solving someones critical issue ...or taking up a challenge of a complex code :)

I know wut u mean. when a piece of code u wrote works elegantly, the feeling is BEAUTIFUL. I agree :)

I can very well get into a Managerial position (cos I've got a Masters degree too) and lots of experience..but I dun want to. thats why I remain a Coder. I hate Management jobs :)

speaking from expereince .... I wud suggest you to never get into one .... although a business analyst, consultant or SME kinda roles are cool ... and give you equal amount of job satisfaction as coding ...

I agree..Im not just a coder..Im also a Business Analyst/Consultant. My business card reads 'IT CONSULTANT' :)

to jump into ur conversation, one thing is for sure...coding and IT jobs sucks man...even i hate it?? any suggestions on how to make it better?

Hiren said...

@keshi -> thats an impressive designation for an attractive lady :) there aren't many beauty with brains around in this world ...

@kp -> start taking challenging assignments and firstly maybe change your perspective towards work a bit ... start enjoying it rather then getting flustered ...

Guys...I am an outsider as I dont belong to either IT or manegerial quota...

all I can say is think work as something that allows you to do so many other things...so those 8 hours of labor are basically for the umpteen hours of pleasure....thats not much is it?

and to Hiren @ your quote...

Like we had a discussion about permanence...here again the same applies...

by defining anything to be beautiful you are giving it a tectonic form...and then it can become subjective in its interpretation....

where are there are spiritual, ephemereal moments and truths...which are very beautiful but one cannot bound them to be beautfiful or else...they loose their sanctity....

Hiren said...

@ceedy -> I couldnt have said it better ... agree with you cent percent on both the points ...

and more so with your perception of work ... i too feel the same way ... :)

**there aren't many beauty with brains around in this world

o cmon, there r many ppl like that out there. Just that we always thinks BEAUTY isnt usually associated with BRAINS. Its a myth Hiren :) The 2 dun hv any connection at all.

And hey tnxx!
